Keystone Baptist Church (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Keystone Church App (“the App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information to operate the App:
1.1 Personal Information
• Name — used to identify users, display posts, and manage accounts.
• Email Address — used for authentication and password recovery.
• User Role (Member or Admin) — determines access levels.
1.2 Authentication Information
• Passwords are processed and stored securely by Firebase Authentication.
We do not have access to your password.
1.3 User-Generated Content
• Prayer Requests (named or anonymous)
• Posts and Announcements created by Admins
• Prayer Count / Interaction Data (e.g.,
counts)
1.4 Automatically Collected Information
Collected by Firebase and other service providers:
• Device type and operating system
• IP address
• App activity such as crashes and performance data
• General usage information
We do not use Firebase Analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
2.1 App Functionality
• Creating and managing user accounts
• Authenticating users
• Displaying church posts and prayer requests
• Allowing named or anonymous prayer submission
• Enabling admins to edit or delete content
• Maintaining a secure environment for users
2.2 App Improvement
• Monitoring crash reports
• Improving stability, performance, and user experience
• Supporting future features such as push notifications
2.3 Communication
If needed, we may contact you for account-related issues or support requests.
We do not send marketing emails.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We only share information with service providers necessary to run the App:
3.1 Firebase Services (Google LLC)
We use Firebase for:
• Authentication
• Firestore Cloud Database
• Cloud Messaging
• Secure data storage
Firebase acts as a data processor and stores information on our behalf.
3.2 YouTube API Services
If the App displays livestreams or past sermons, YouTube content may be accessed.
This content is displayed under YouTube’s Terms of Service.
3.3 No Advertising or Tracking
• We do not display third-party ads.
• We do not track users across other apps or websites.
• We do not share data with advertisers.
4. Anonymous Prayer Requests
Users may choose to submit prayer requests anonymously.
When anonymous mode is selected:
• Your name is not displayed publicly
• Some internal data (such as UID and timestamp) may still be stored privately so you can manage your own submissions
No personal information from anonymous requests is shared or displayed.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes listed above.
Examples:
• Prayer requests may automatically delete after 7 days (when implemented).
• Game updates and posts may delete after a set time (if enabled).
• User accounts remain active until deleted by the user or by request.
6. Data Deletion Requests
Users may request deletion of:
• Their account
• Their personal data
• Their prayer requests
• Their posts

We will honor deletion requests in compliance with relevant laws.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users age 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided information, they may contact us to request deletion.
8. Security
We take security seriously and implement measures such as:
• Secure Firebase Authentication
• Firestore security rules
• Encrypted data transmission
• Role-based permissions
• Server-side validation
No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When changes occur, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.
Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
